Ashy drongo (Dicrurus leucophaeus) perching on Flambuoyant (Delonix regia) branch at Bang Pae sub-station, also can be seen swooping on flying insects from exposed perches along the forest edge, and Ashy minivet (Pericrocotus divaricatus) foraging on Morinda elliptica tree. Blue-eared barbets (Megalaima australis) serching for ripe figs after rain bout. Its greenish plumage and colorful red, blue, and black feather pattern on its head is an immediate aid to identification, but it is usually high in the canopy so visitors are more likely only to hear its high-pitched voice, monotonous ko-tek, ko-tek.
