To KPT national park:
The national park is situated in the north east of Phuket Island, surrounded entirely by roads (highways 4027 and 402.) There are two main areas for entry, Ton Sai station and Bang Pae station. Entrance fees to the park must be paid here unless included in your tour package. The entrances to the park are well posted if you wish to visit alone. Access to Ton Sai is much easier as it is closer to the west of the island where the more popular tourist destinations lie.

To the KES Project:
The project is located just 2 kilometers north of Bang Pae sub-station and the Gibbon Rehabilitation Site on highway 4027. There are currently no sign posts to direct you directly to the project, but there is a large sign outside the office if you keep an eye to the right. There is a large mosque about 300 meters past the project; if you pass this you know you’ve gone to far.
Motor bike rent- motorbikes can be hired from all major tourist destinations. This mode of transport is relatively cheap and gives you the freedom to explore the local area at your leisure. The roads surrounding the national park are relatively quiet compared to other areas of Phuket, but care should still be taken, especially for inexperienced riders.
Car rent- perfect for small groups, can be relatively inexpensive if splitting the cost between 4-5 people, and gives you the same freedom, and possibly a safer option than taking a motor bike.
The blue beach buses,
or "song-thaews", are the cheapest option. (K0106 @Phamon Sumphanthamitr)
Taxi- taxis are an expensive mode of transport, but ideal for a one way destination if the fare is split between a couple of people.
Tuktuk- tuktuks are a cheaper alternative to taxis, and are perfect for larger groups of people. Just be aware that some will not drive to the Bang Pae station for a one way fare.
