We have a volunteering trip option involving conservation in the Park through our programme. The trips will be led by experienced bilingual ecology lecturers includes WARF volunteers, Park rangers and local villagers. They are all experienced trackers who have spent their entire lives living in or close to the forest. They will accompany small groups of visitors on expeditions to directly experience the natural environment of the tropical rainforest and to participate in field study tasks. The activities will provide eco-friendly experiences, not only between humans and nature, but will emphasize making both foreign visitors and local residents feel comfortable as visitors to any natural area. There will be an exchange of culture and experience and sharing of knowledge of the local terrain and ecology with visitors. Individuals participating in the trip have the opportunity to be fully involved in all aspects of the forest's ecological projects.

If volunteers wish, they may help as much as possible by assisting in carrying any study material, equipment, first aid kit etc. or they can simply take a step back and enjoy the experience. Visitors will spend time in the forest, and will be trained in the simple methods necessary to monitor and observe its inhabitants. These techniques include keeping quiet to observe the relations and interactions between a variety of wildlife, and identifying animals and plant from the clues they leave behind. They will have the opportunity to taste a variety of edible wild herbs and vegetables, and may be shown traditional medicinal uses of plants. The trip programs are as follows and suit a range of interests and abilities, from soft to hard adventure (program A to Extra) :
Itinerary:
Due to the nature of the trip, considerations such as the weather, road condition, local circumstance and prevailing safety factors must be taken into account. Therefore the route and itinerary may vary from those published but the contents of the trip will remain similar. The final decision of the actual itinerary will be made by the trip operator and ecology lecturer on the day of the trip.

Remarks:
The volunteer group size of each program will be a maximum 8 persons with 3 ecology lecturers (KES staff/volunteer, KPT staff and villagers). If the group is less than 8 persons, we may consider reducing the number of lecturers to 1-2 persons.
The programmes B, C, D and Extra may not be suitable for children younger than age 12.
Drinking water: Usually local residents can drink water from the stream in the forest without any problems, but it is not recommended for visitors. However if there is any shortage of drinking water at night, we will simply boil the stream water to ensure it is safe to drink.
